Dean HUSSON Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Dean Michael Husson announce his passing on May 25, 2022 at the age of 45 after a private and courageous battle with cancer.
Loving father to Bennet and Elliot, and husband to Heather, Dean died surrounded by love at Margaret's Place Hospice in Dundas. Son of the late John Husson and Jeannine Boutot in Sudbury, and brother to Kim Husson (Derek Favret). He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dean moved to Toronto where he met his best friend and wife, before settling in Hamilton. A fixer of everything, Dean was a skilled craftsman, whose attention to detail and hardworking nature served him well as Assistant Supervisor for Branthaven Homes since 2009. He used his skills and talents to artistically restore the character home he shared with his family, and together with Heather created a beautiful and loving home. Dean was a talented photographer - as evidenced by the family photos and nature shots adorning the walls of their Westdale home.
A lover of nature, Dean always stopped to watch and photograph birds while he explored Hamilton's many trails and waterfalls with his wife and children.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Dean and his family through this time.
Cremation has taken place, and arrangements are being made for a memorial bench at the RBG, details pending. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those interested contribute to a scholarship fund for Dean's two sons, Bennet and Elliot. Funds may be e-transferred to: [email protected]

I´ll remember Dean as a guy who somehow stayed in fantastic shape despite being married to the world´s best pie baker. Manoeuvring around a crammed hospital room to get perfect pictures of my newborn triplet nieces. Loading his plate with pesto, wearing a baseball cap to hide his premature balding. Having another beer. Waiting to pick us up at the GO station with little Ben, the proud dad. So happy Elliott was a boy (fist-pump "YES!") so he wouldn´t have to buy all new girl stuff (at least that´s what he said, it looked to me like his delight with another son had nothing to do with clothes). His quickness to compliment Heather (maybe except for the occasional thing that required mechanical aptitude). Always respectful and kind. His laugh.
