DER VAN Obituary

VAN DER MOLEN, Kelly (nee Braund) It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Kelly on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at home surrounded by the love of her family and friends five days before her 52nd birthday. She is now God's newest angel. Loving wife of Bruce, adoring mother of Ben, darling daughter of Gary and Marie (Wall) Braund and dear sister of Shari and Paul Elliott. Missed by her cherished in-laws Minne and Annie, Henrietta and Stuart Heeg, Ray and Brenda, David and Agnes and their families. Also mourning her loss are cousins Christine Bonner (Paul Barber), Kevin and Elena Morandi-Bonner, Marion and Robert Wilson and their families, and dear 'Uncle Gordy' Lamond and her many friends. Kelly is a graduate of Brantford Collegiate Institute, The University of Toronto and University of Western Ontario Teachers' College/Vision Specialist. She taught for the Halton District Catholic School Board in Oakville and at the W. Ross MacDonald School in Brantford where she met Bruce. Kelly volunteered for several years in the library at Ben's school and was always at his swimming lessons, soccer and hockey games. She loved to quilt, knit, read, skate, travel and made incredibly beautiful greeting cards. She always felt blessed with her family and her many wonderful friends in the Jarvis community, her many Brantford friends and life long friends Lori Kemmish and Paul Welsby. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot St. W., Jarvis on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service for Kelly will be held at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Chalmers Stone Church Cemetery. Donations to Melanoma Research or the Trillium Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.cooperfuneralhome.ca
