Donata ARESTA Obituary

ARESTA, Donata (Tina) nee Grattagliano Peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at St. Joseph's Villa in Dundas in her 86th year. Born in Monopoli, Bari, Italy on September 23, 1932. Beloved wife of Luigi for 64 years. Devoted mother to Vince (Maria), Frank (Valerie), and Tony. Loving nonna to Stephanie, Noah, and Aaron. Predeceased by her parents Francesco and Maria Carmela Grattagliano, stepmother Teodora Grattagliano, parents-in-law Vincenzo and Cosima Aresta, and stepmother Anna Aresta. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Franca and the late Domenico Grattagliano, Mimina and the late Santino Grattagliano, the late Tony and Gina Aresta, Giovanni and the late Rosa Aresta, the late Mimino and Lina Perrini, Angelo and Livia Aresta, and Leonardo Aresta and Henriette Henry. She will be sadly missed by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews in Canada, the United States, Italy, and Belgium. We wish to extend our most profound gratitude for the exceptional support, care, and dignity afforded to our dear mother over the past year by the wonderful angels and professional staff on Lilac Garden. Our family will receive relatives and friends at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Thursday at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at All Souls Catholic Church, 19 Barton St. W., on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph's Villa Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
