It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doris Floren (nee Tyne) on Thursday, April 1, 2021. She would have celebrated her 103rd birthday on May 3rd. Predeceased by her daughter Linda and son Raymond (the late Purine) and her parents Ada and John "Paddy" Tyne, brothers Albert, Russell, Jack, Bill and sisters Kathleen (twin sister), Gertrude and Joan. Survived by her granddaughter Kim Floren of California (Raymond's daughter). She was a proud member of the R.H.L.I. Doris retired from Sears Canada after many years of service. A special thank you to the CNIB Interveners who were her lifeline, as well as the staff of the 4th floor at Arbour Creek Care Centre. A very special thank you to Ron Gray, who was a tremendous friend to Doris. A Graveside Service will be held at Woodland Cemetery Section 10, 700 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1 p.m. In accordance with the regulations of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario due to COVID-19, all events are restricted to a specified number of attendees.
