Douglas MARSHALL Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Howard Marshall at his home in Hamilton, Ontario. Loving husband to Brenda Marshall for 50 years. Loving father to David (Loretta), Warren (Sandra) and Jarrett (Dianne) Doug worked and retired after a long career at Ford Motor Company. He will be missed by his many grandchildren whom he treasured. Visitation will take place at Dodsworth & Brown funeral home (Ancaster Chapel) on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.

Warren, Jarrett, David and families, please accept my love and condolences during this very sad time.

I was 9 years old when the Marshall family moved in across the street my family. I was so happy because Warren became my best friend during our school years and we shared a lot of good times. I always felt welcomed at the Marshall home.

Mr. Marshall - Doug - became a hero to many kids in the neighbourhood in the early 80s when he turned his backyard into a hockey rink each winter for at least 5 years. Some of my favourite memories of childhood are playing on those rinks. Thank you Mr. Marshall.

We are very sorry to hear of Doug's passing.We fondly remember holidays at the cottage where he was the chief BBQer..lots of laughter.when all the kids were young. Good memories. Bonnie and John Gunter.
