DINIZO, Egidio
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden passing of Egidio Dinizo. On February 27, 2022, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Lina for 62 years. He will dearly be remembered by his children, Fred (Yolanda), Corrado (Luisa), and Sandra (Lou). Cherished Nonno of Andrea (Marco), Melissa, Marco (Giuliana), Daniel, Gianluca (Cristina), Selena, Alesia, and Carlo. Loving Great Nonno of Vienna, and Lucas. Predeceased by his mother and father Adelina, and Federico Dinizo, and in laws Agatina and Ruggiero Marchionno. Loving brother of the late Rocco (Dorotea), Zelferino (Pina), Maria (late Tonino). Brother-in-law of Concetta (late Camilo) the late Domenic (Nina). Will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy, Switzerland, and United States. Egidio was born in the town of Colledimezzo, Italy in 1937. He spent many years working in France and Switzerland. After immigrating to Canada in 1966, he began working for Valley City in a factory that provided fine custom millwork. Later he was introduced to home construction where he framed houses. He returned to his roots of woodwork and cabinetry and EZ Cabinets was founded. Egidio serviced the community for over 30 years. His passion for his craft was evident through the lasting relationships he has formed with his customers. Well into his 80's he was so proud of the connections and work he provided. Egidio loved spending time in his garden, hunting and fishing trips away with his friends, and Friday night bocce and card games at the Donnici club. Vacations were a special time for him and his wife Lina to de-stress and enjoy each other's company. Egidio's happiest moments were when he was surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy. He taught us that honesty, pride in your work, love for your family, and character were measures of a man- and he was a great one.
