Elaine died peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Cherished mother of Stephen Hooker, Jeannette (Jim) Johnstone and Melanie (Gord) Perry. Grandma of Leane (Ryan) Stockdale, Christopher (Stephanie) Hooker, Shantel (Andrew) Lulschik, Michelle Demay (Kyle Penick), and Abby Johnstone. Great-grandma of Ethan, Liam, Erica, and April. Predeceased by her loving husband Gordon, her beloved daughter Edie and Grandbabies Rayne and Brooke.
Elaine had a magical ability to love unconditionally. She lived her life with kindness, joy and a sense of play. Her sermons contained storytelling, which she excelled at, laughter and sincerity. She gifted her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren her wisdom and creativity.
WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE have had the honour to care for Elaine and her family. A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 83 Church St., St. Catharines, ON, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
