1934 - 2021

We our truly devastated and heartbroken to announce the passing away of Elly, 87 on Thursday, December 9, 2021, with her beloved family at her side. She is now reunited with her beloved Husband Basilios (William) in Heaven. Cherished Mother of Soula (Chris) Banitsiotis and Adriana (Stan) Earl and Maylissa Earl who touched her heart like a daughter. Also, a very proud Grandma to Billy (Jilly), Andrew, James, and especially Nicholas. Survived by her sisters, Eleni (Predeceased Basilios), Katy (Stelios), brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law Peter (Predeceased Vasio), Predeceased George (Maria) and Vicky (Predeceased George). She was loved by many nephews, nieces, and friends. Sincere gratitude to all the Doctors, Nurses, PSW, and cleaning staffs on 5 North at Joseph Brant Hospital Memorial in Burlington who took great care of Elly. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. with prayers service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (22 Head St, Hamilton, On., L8R 1P9) on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. Due to COVID protocols, limited space is available, please call 905-637-5233 or visit dbburlington.ca to reserve your spot.
