Eric LEMBERG Obituary

LEMBERG, Eric With his beloved and cherished wife by his side, Eric passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the age of 72. Predeceased by his parents Rea and John Lemberg of Montreal, Quebec and his brother Peter (Katherine) of Naples, Florida. Eric leaves behind his brother Rein Lemberg of California along with many nieces and nephews throughout the U.S.A and Canada. Also left behind are his brothers-in-law Barry Ready (Joanne) of Burlington and Denny Ready (Heather) of Hamilton. Eric and Valerie owned and operated Polymark Manufacturing Inc. in Oakville which they began in 1985 and successfully operated until 2002. Both Eric and Valerie were avid skiers and golfers and belonged, for many years, to the Ellicottville Skiing and Golf Club where they eventually designed and enjoyed a beautiful mountaintop home overlooking the ski hills. They were also both active members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ellicottville with Eric becoming an Elder and Valerie doing solo work for the church. After beginning and instigating Saturday evening services in this quaint little village, the congregation grew and prospered with the leadership of their well-loved pastor, the Rev. William L. Kay. From their early days of marriage both Eric and Valerie had a passion for travel and spent their lifetime traveling all over the world. After retirement, they spent their winters skiing in Colorado, both as visitors and for one year worked at Vail Colorado as Community Guest Service Volunteers. In 2002 Eric and Val joined Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Burlington and have been members there for 17 years. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday, April 17th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1299 Brant Street, Burlington on Saturday, April 20th at 11 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery at a later date.
