With sadness we announce the passing of Lloyd Pyett on April 12, 2023, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Young) for 64 years. Loving father of Karen (Ralph) and David (Annmarie). Survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Survived by and brother in law to John (Debbie), Joey (Bill), Geri (Dennis),and Scott (Jodi). Also survived by mother-in-law Emma and sister-in-law Margie. Predeceased by his son Daryl, parents Art and Alma, siblings Vera, Norma, Shirley, Ross, Doug, Father in law William, and Brother in law Don. Visitation to take place at Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, Thursday, April 20, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at Caistorville United Church Cemetery, Caistorville on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held following the graveside service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #393, Smithville from 12 -.5 p.m. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family and if desired can be made through the funeral home, (905)957-7031.
