Eva BOOKER Obituary
August 10, 1933 - August 22, 2022
Eva Emeline Booker, of Hamilton, Ontario, passed away August 22nd in her 90th year. She was born to parents Freemont Bagshaw and Amy Bullocke on August 10, 1933, in Hamilton, Ontario. After graduating from Westdale Secondary School, Eva began working at Stelco where she met Don Booker. They married in 1954 and lived together in Hamilton for 68 years. Eva was known for her kindness and caring nature, always making sure that her family and friends had their needs looked after before her own. She was fondly known as Mrs B to many. Eva was a people person who volunteered and took the time to meet new people and make new friends. She cared deeply for her family and her friends. She loved to play card games, especially Euchre, travel the world, and make crafts which she often shared with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her younger years she loved to play tennis, baseball, row her boat and golf at the trailer she and Don loved at Pike Lake. Eva is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Don; her three children: Ron Booker (Donna), of Port Dover; Al Booker (Kim) of Stratford; Lorna (Peter Oswald) of Dundas; and her sister Hazel Lower of Burks Falls, Ontario. She was loved dearly by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Eva was predeceased by her parents Freemont and Amy and her brothers Bill Bagshaw and Fred Bagshaw. At Eva's request her burial will be privately attended by her immediate family on Thursday, September 1st, 2022. The family would like to thank all of the nursing staff at Juravinski Hospital for their care of Eva over the past 6 weeks. We would also especially like to thank Dr. Hunt for his exemplary care and compassion for Eva.
