I knew Gary through our church family. He was in our prayer books for many years. In spite of his many health challenges Gary could always find the good and the positive. He was always so grateful for prayers, and we loved his faith and trust in the Lord. He had a sweet soul and we are comforted to know, that he is safe with the Savior he loved...we will meet again one day.

Gary was also a loving uncle to Joanne and Mark and Rose. He had very special connection with Joanne. And over the last 5 months he FaceTimed with her many times and told her how much he loved her and that she was very special to him. Her picture was posted on his bulletin board so he could look at her everyday. He was a loving and caring uncle to all his nieces and nephew.

My brother was a very special man. He was such a kind person always concerned about how you were doing even to the end of his own life here on earth. He understood why due to health reasons that I could not be with him physically during his illness and passing. We would both look forward to our many FaceTime calls that my sister, Sue arranged with Gary and sometimes my wife Rose if she was with me. We would pray for Gary and he just loved these times. He was such a witness for Jesus Christ his Saviour and Lord. He didn’t have to say much but everyone who came in contact with him encountered the peace of God on him even while he suffered much. We always ended our time together telling one another ‘ Love you “ I have many childhood memories of Gary and I. Too many to share here. One memory was of Gary and I wrestling in Dad back yard and breaking the new apple tree that he just planted, Dad was not happy. I am so thankful today even though I will miss my brother that I will get to see him again at his new home in Heaven. So for now I simply say “ see you later “ Love you Gary.

My brother was a kind, gentle and a man of faith. The last 5 months spent with him at St Elizabeth’s and St. Peter’s I will cherish always. He was always positive and trusted in the Lord. He always told me he loved me, take one day at a time and trust in Jesus and he always gave me a big smile even on his last days. He was my brother who I loved and respected and he will forever be in my heart. Until we meet again.
