Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on December 9, 2021, at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in his 78th year. Geoffrey is survived by his wife of 42 years, Claire (nee Jobe), his children, Michael (Krystin), Christine (Selom), Joanne (Christopher), and Andrew, and his grandchildren James, Miles, Penelope, Geoffrey, and counting. He was a devout Catholic. Along with being an avid Blue Jays fan and Sudoku puzzle enthusiast, one of Geoffrey's greatest interests was following the stock markets. A mechanic at heart, Geoffrey was a University of Waterloo electrical engineering graduate who had a twenty-five-year career at Dofasco. In addition, he was an entrepreneur who owned several successful small businesses. He will be missed by his sisters Brenda, Glenda, and Maria, as well as in-laws, relatives, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Margaret, Corduroy, Billy, and Raffi. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church (440 King St. E.) on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 9:30 - 10:30AM and a Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens (1895 Main St. W.) A reception will take place after the burial at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOMES (796 Upper Gage Ave.) Masks and social distancing are required.
