George Skandalis Obituary

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Skandalis on February 22, 2021. Son of the late Melpomeni and Stergios. Beloved husband of 25 years to Tina Skandalis. Loving stepfather to Mary (Rob) and cherished dedo to his grandchildren. Loving brother to Pavlos (Efthimia), Roula (Christos), Elias (Thomai) and the late Petros (Agapi). He is loved dearly by all his nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by all his family and friends who knew him. George was a hard worker with a sense of humour who loved to build things even after he retired as a carpenter for over 50 years. He came to Canada in 1966 from Aetos, Greece and resided in Toronto until he met the love of his life and moved to Hamilton. He loved to travel to Greece every year where he built his second home and would visit with his family and friends. He is remembered for his jokes, his garden and his love for Greek sports.
