SOZIO, Giovanni It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giovanni Sozio. Amazing Husband, Father and Nonno. He will be lovingly remembered by his Wife Maria of 54 years. Cherished by his children, Elena Cardi (Gabriel), Milena Sozio (Joseph Chiarelli) and John Sozio (Mirella). Doting Nonno of Daniela (Ronnie), Christina (Jamie), Kayla, Jade and Venezia. Beloved brother to Carmella (Leonardo), the late Fiore (Pina), Giuseppe (Lucia) and Silvio (Patrizia). He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Elena Sozio. He was born in Capracotta, Italy and moved to Canada in 1965. Giovanni was full of life; always a smile on his face and willing to help others. His love and dedication to his family was his main focus. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends in both Canada and Italy. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Hwy #8, Stoney Creek, ON on Friday, December 1 from 3-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 2 from 9-10:30 a.m. followed by a brief service. Procession to follow to Mountview Garden Cemetery, Stoney Creek. Memorial discourse and Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Marquis Gardens, 1050 Rymal Rd.
