Giuseppe Tiberi Obituary
Brother to the late Margaret and Mike Ficcarra, the late Maria and Giovanni Candelora, the late Salvatore (Anna) Tiberi. Brother-in-law to Josephine (late Liberatore) D'Amico and Lina and Nino Del Monaco. Joe is now reunited in heaven with his brother Salvatore and best friend and brother-in-law Libby and we are sure they are already pouring concrete and have started up their "Good Enough" construction jobs.
He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and was always affectionately known as Uncle Joe to them all. Joe was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1953. He worked for various contractors as a cement finisher and was a proud member of LIUNA local 837 for over 55 years. Joe also kept busy pouring and finishing concrete driveways and walkways throughout the city as his own business for many years. Joe loved his family, his house, and his garden, and participated in cooking polenta for his family and his Italian community at various events. The family would like to thank the staff at Wentworth Heights retirement home, Edgerton neighborhood for their care and compassion shown to Joe during his stay.
Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E, on Wednesday, December 1st, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11a.m. on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at Annunciation of Our Lord Parish, 280 Limeridge Rd. W. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In keeping with COVID-19 precautions, all guests must practice physical distancing and wear a face covering. If desired, in lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations to the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Sharon and I send our deepest condolences to Angela and the entire Tiberi family. Joe helped raise a wonderful family that he was so proud of. They do not make many people like him anymore - steadfast and true, a real gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. Tiberi was one of the true gentlemen still out there in todays world. A class act who was one of the nicest people I have come across in my time. I will miss our meetings and your great smile! My deepest condolences to Mrs. Tiberi and all of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Deb and I are very saddened to hear this news. He was a great neighbour and so proud of his tomatoes. He will be missed.
