DE BARRERA, Gladys Sanchez It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, mother-in-law and mother Gladys Sanchez de Barrera on June 23, 2018. Gladys Sanchez de Barrera, 81 years old, of Hamilton, ON, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Born November 21, 1936 in San Salvador, El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Cesar Matias, from Spanish parents but born in El Salvador, and Bonifacia Sanchez, native from the town of San Antonio del Monte. She is survived by her two children, daughter Norma Idalia Barrera de Chavez (Tomas), Pablo Agusto Barrera (Jacquelin) and her grandchildren Pablo Jr. Barrera, Juan Antonio Barrera (Brianda), Heissel (nee Chavez) Ollinger (Jeffrey), Tatiana (nee Chavez) Smith (Brent), Alexandra Chavez (fianc? Johnny Graham); her great-grandchildren Evan and Abigail Smith and Olivia and Adriana Ollinger. She will once again meet the love of her life, her beloved deceased husband, Pablo Agusto Barrera and her two sons both named Nelson Barrera. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, June 30 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church (29 Park St.) in Dundas, On and will be followed by a small reception directly after. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Regina Gardens Long Term Care Residence Palliative Team. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the incredible staff of Kings Forest Residence, Floor 3 and all who cared for our beautiful Gladys along the way.
