Greta was born in Bathurst, NB and moved to Hamilton as a young women where she worked as a book keeper for many years. Pre-deceased by her husband, Frank James and parents Marion and Lee, brother Tracy (Marie) and sister Neva Knowles. Loving sister to Lois (the late Ken), Opal (the late Jack), Ross (Gerri) and Hazen.
"Auntie Greta" was a proud and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews now living across the country. She treated all of them like they were her own. She was a great listener and supported all of them in many ways. She will be greatly missed. Greta loved to travel to Ireland and visit her siblings across Canada. She enjoyed the finer things in life and always took great care to look wonderful.
Greta will also be missed by her friends from her former residence at the Courts of Rushdale. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Idlewyld Manor for their compassion and care of Greta over the past 3 years.
Cremation has already taken place and Greta will be buried alongside her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington, Ontario in the Spring. For those who wish, donations in memory of Greta can be made to the CNIB or
