It is with both joy and sorrow that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Harold Julien at St. Joe's Hospital in Hamilton, on Saturday, November 19, 2022. He had the pleasure of reaching his 87th birthday on November 10th before God called 'our hero' home. No more pain and suffering. A tough old man, he never complained. Harold was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Jean Margaret Anne in 2009. Loving father of Karen Michelle (Les), Angela Denise (Rick) and Vickie Haroldine (Tony). Amazing grandfather to seven grandchildren, Chad (Sandra), Melissa, Andrew (Michelle), Karen (Chris), Christopher (Stephanie), Matt (Crystal), and Jason. He dedicated his time to never missing their sporting events and fishing trips with any who wanted to go with him. Cherished great-grandfather of 15 grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Harold worked for Groves Construction for 35 years. Following his retirement, he worked as a crossing guard for 16 years for the Hamilton Wentworth School Board. He served with great pride, "My kids, my corner!" He always said. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed flowers and nature. His green thumb earned him an award of appreciation for the beautiful flower bed at the entrance to the condominium complex where he resided for 47 years. Harold loved life! He put one foot in front of the other everyday and never gave up. He will be missed, never forgotten and a part of him will remain with all of us. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 11 a.m-1 pm with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Online condolences can be left at
