Harry MILLS Obituary

MILLS, Harry John Arthur March 14, 1932 - August 28, 2017 Our loss is great but our gratitude is endless for the cherished life of our Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. With deeply saddened hearts, the family announces Harry's peaceful passing in his 86th year, at the Juravinski Hospital. Devoted husband of 63 years to his loving wife Ruth. Best loved father to Debra and Rick. He will be greatly missed by his son-in-law Larry and his daughter-in-law Lorna and grand- children Brandon and Brittany. Predeceased by infant daughter in 1958. Born and married in Elora, Harry worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway and the Canadian Press and retired from the Hamilton Spectator after 30 years of service. He served as custodian at Chedoke Presbyterian Church for 13 years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Dr. Tammy Packer for going above and beyond. His family will receive friends at the CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Harry's life will be held at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, 865 Mohawk Rd. W. on Friday, September 1st at 11 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in his memory are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Chedoke Presbyterian Church.
