Henry LEONE Obituary

January 15, 1958 - January 26, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our hero Henry, who lost his courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, with his family by his side, at 64 years of age. Henry's infectious zest for life, positive outlook and charismatic, larger than life character will be infinitely missed. Henry leaves behind Kimberley, his wife of 46 years, and beloved daughters Sarah (Justin) and Amanda and his granddaughter, Ellara. Henry is predeceased by his parents Guerino and Adelia Leone and survived by his brother Ferrante (Anna). Henry's passing will leave a large void in so many lives of family, friends and colleagues. Henry enjoyed a successful 30 year career with Ford Credit Canada CHQ. We are so grateful for the compassionate care Henry received through the years from Dr. R. Foley and the dedicated team on C4 at Juravinski Cancer Centre. Please RSVP in advance for visitation by logging on to https://signup.com/go/JVfyLZF or by calling 905-547-1121. Memorial Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Private Memorial service to take place. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made In Memory of Henry Leone to Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.

Zio Henry,

It truly saddens my heart knowing that you are no longer with us in this world. You were very special to my dad, your cousin Genny, and played a key role in his childhood- growing through the years with the fondest of memories no matter the distance. I had the privilege of spending time with you more as an adult when he was sick and I will never forget you bringing breakfast for my brothers, Mark and Michael, and I around 7:30am to Genny's room at Princess Margaret. You were so optimistic and happy with your beautiful wife Kim beside you as well! You knew how much my dad loved a clean shave, impressions were everything, and you would shave his beard for him when he was weak. Your presence made so many people happy. I hope you are playing table top hockey with Genny and looking down at your amazing family forever. I know you were met by some special people at the pearly gates Wednesday night. We will all be together again above the clouds with no pain. I hope you are resting and know that your life was full. Unfortunately, the weather from Barrie to Hamilton will not allow us to be together tonight although my prayers, wishes and love says different. I will miss you! Love, Monica and Matt

I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. Henry was one of a kind and I´m sure it will be extremely difficult adjustment for his friends but even more for Kim, Sarah, Mandy, Ellara and Justin. I met Henry in the mid `70s when he had just began dating Kim. Although we didn´t connect often, when we did it was like resuming a long friendship right where it left off. Henry, you were larger than life, your presence in any situation was noted and for the better and your are most certainly going to be missed. Kim, my heart is aching for you.
