Hyun Sook "Christina" DO

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hyun Sook Do at St. Joseph's Hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the age of 68. Hyun Sook will be deeply missed by her loving husband Chul Hwan Do; by her devoted daughters Kathleen Do, Keri-Anne Do (Gabriel Ho); and by her beloved grandchildren Elijah, Noah, and Colton. Hyun Sook will also be sincerely missed by her mother Bong Lim Lee; by her sisters Hea Jung Kim (Dong Seung Kim) and Sherry Hames (Richard); and by her nieces Gloria (Jung Kim), Grazia and Grace Kim, and great nieces Julie and Catherine Kim. She is predeceased by her father In Young Kim.

Hyun Sook was known for her beautiful singing voice and she enjoyed golfing nearly every day.

Hyun Sook came to Canada with nothing. Over the years with her husband, both speaking very little to no English, they built a life for themselves by starting several of their own businesses. She was then able to help others do the same. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who devoted countless hours in trying to give her family all that she did and did not have. She was a giving soul. She was always putting the needs of others above herself; helping those arriving to Canada, helping with the Hamilton Korean United Church, and helping all of her loving friends and family. She loved her family and was so grateful to be able to spend time with her grandchildren over the last few years.

She was beloved by all because of her kindness, selflessness, and servant heart. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
