Jake William CONNOLLY

On Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Hamilton, Jake William Connolly at the age of 17 years left this world. Loving son of Paula and Logan Connolly. Cherished brother of Daniel (Jen) and Steven (Maddie). Special uncle to Dylan and Jamison. He will be sadly missed by his grandparents, Maria and Aldo Di Pietro and Georgena Morris. Dear nephew to Mass Di Pietro (Lynda), Lucy Ciancone (Dave), Pat Corrin (Martin), Joanne Duckworth (Bob). Jake will be remembered and loved by his many cousins, friends and an entire community. Jake was a bright shining light that made everyone's day better. He helped so many people in such an inspiring, selfless manner with that beautiful smile and ahead of his own needs. Jake displayed a level of love, compassion, maturity, respect and trust way beyond his years. Jake's kind responsible heart thoughtfully protected ours by leaving us all with more than a lifetime of love and amazing memories to cherish and help ease our pain. Jake's legacy and reputation will live on and we will live our lives intentionally to match his level of greatness. Jake was loved and adored by all and will forever live in our hearts. Jake was strong, brilliant and highly driven to succeed and achieve anything he set his mind to. He was a black belt in Karate and a Sensei who had a passion to teach, inspire, mentor and had such a positive impact on so many young students. He was an outstanding role model for everyone. He was also a grade 12 honour roll student who was just recently accepted to University and was planning a career in Law Enforcement. Jake won the prestigious Collegiality Award presented by the Ontario Justice Education Network. He was also in the Law Society and on the Graduation committee. Jake was Red Cross certified in First Aid & CPR. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - "William J. Markey Chapel", 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Saturday, January 28th from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Jake's Celebration of Life Service will follow at Bay Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the annual Karate Student Sponsorship Program created in memory and in honour of Jake Connolly by Global Martial Arts Academy. Jake's legacy will live on and can now continue to help others in a way we know he would be proud of. Cheques made to GMA and dropped off at Bay Gardens. More details to follow for future donations.
