McDOWELL, James Passed away suddenly at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, May 20, 2019 in his 77th year. Loving son of the late Hazel and the late Tommy McDowell. Much loved cousin of Walter Mitchell (Eileen), Godfrey Mitchell (Shirley), Derek Robb (Ruth) and Barbara Kunkel (William). He is survived by many cousins and family in England and Ireland. Jim was a long-time volunteer (15 years) with the Big Brothers of Hamilton & Burlington and maintained a life- long friendship with Richard Gelder and Dr. Cameron Gelder. Jim worked for the Chamber of Commerce and formed the Junior Golf Tour. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday, May 27, 2019 from 12 noon until the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
