James McFEETERS Obituary

Hugh, at the age of 85, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 22, 2023 with his loving partner Judy Topp by his side. Predeceased by his wife, Lillian (nee Bryk) 2002. Beloved father to his daughter Linda and his son Gregory. Treasured Grandpa to Amanda Napholc (Mike) and Matthew Hamilton (Scarlett). Great-Grandpa to William and Lillian. Hugh was well known in the wood shaving industry across Canada and the United States. He knew every back road that led to every small bakery in every small town. Hugh loved his family, friends, horses and pies and not always in that order. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Friday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca

Childhood stays at the McFeeters home usually coincided with the arrival of a new baby at our house. One memory Hugh and I laugh about involved the bag of flour Aunt Hughena dumped onto her ironing board. Hugh and I spent hours grading, loading and dumping great heaps using his collection of trucks and farm toys. Hugh was 12 years older, so at that time he was in his teens. How kind and patient he was.

i got on a horse at uncle hughs and greg gave it a slap on the butt and hugh ran 20 mile an hour to catch me i will never foget the look on his face love rick
