(1935-2022)
On Sunday, August 28th Jean Meikle (nee Phillips) answered the gentle call from her Saviour to "Come Home". Her suffering and pain are over. She is at rest. She leaves her husband Charles, of 65 years, her daughter Mary (Ahmad), son Cam and granddaughters Evie (Kyle Vickers), Bethany (Justin Voortman) and great-grandsons Oscar and Archie Vickers and William Voortman. She was predeceased by her son Neil and her siblings. Those who will also really miss her lovely smile and infectious laugh will be nieces, nephews and those who experienced her loving and genuine care. She had a career in nursing and worked at Henderson as it was called, at McMaster in various departments as well as in Palliative Care in the community. Her home was always inviting as she had a real heart for hospitality. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 7th from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster (905) 648-3852 with funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Burlington.
