It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jeff Hazzard on April 15, 2023, at the age of 57. Loving husband of 30 years to his wife Darlene and cherished dad to Bella. Remembered by his brother Jim, nieces Cassidy, Faith & Nevada, sister-in-law Barb (Ray), brother-in-law Todd and his children Brett, Stephanie, and Samantha. Jeff also leaves behind his mother and father-in-law Dorothy and Reginald, as well as his dogs Bentley and Mercedes. Pre-deceased by his parents Gerald and Betty. Jeff had an affinity for adventuring and took every opportunity to create lifelong memories with Darlene and Bella, whether that be trips around the world, relaxing on a cruise or just hanging out at their trailer. Jeff was a real MacGyver with how he could skillfully fix and build almost anything. He was the go-to handy man that everyone could rely on. Jeff was able to retire and stay at home with Bella where they would have hours of fun painting her nails, colouring her hair and endless arts and crafts. His family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Jeff's best friend Greg who supported him through his sickness. They would also like to give thanks to all his other family, friends, and neighbours for all their help during their time of need. Please join his family at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road in Hamilton for a memorial visitation on April 21st from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family would kindly ask that a donation be made to Hamilton Health Sciences, Juravinski Hospital.

Darlene- I recently found out about Jeff´s passing. He was so much fun to sit with while I watched my girls skate. He quickly became my youngest daughter´s buddy as he played with her every skating lesson pretending to fall asleep. She also cared for him greatly and would always look for him. I remember her kissing a boo boo he had on his hand, better. He´s gone too soon but he´s made a positive imprint on all of us - and he left, leaving the world a better place. We are all better people because of Jeff.

Dear Darlene, I was deeply saddened to hear of Jeff´s passing. Both Sarah and I extend our deepest condolences to you and your family, and we join you in your grief. He has been taken much too soon, and Jeff will be missed by all who knew him; but he will be missed most by those he loved the most, Bella and yourself.
Having had the pleasure of working with Jeff for over 30 years, I knew him to be an extremely dedicated and dynamic man. These traits, coupled with his technical skills and extensive knowledge, made him the backbone of Sun N Fun´s service department. Jeff could be relied upon to solve problems that would have stumped others. It´s heartening to know that after leaving Sun N Fun, he was able to spend more time with those that he loved most, going to places that he really enjoyed, and doing the things that he liked to do. After working with him for such a long time, he became like family to me, and I am so grateful for the time we spent together. He was a wonderful listener, and I enjoyed hearing the stories he would tell of his travels, especially to Las Vegas.
Both Sarah and I hope that, in time, the happy memories you have will offer you peace and comfort.
