Jessie MacIsaac Obituary

Sadly, we announce the passing of our dear Jessie MacIsaac on November 2, 2022, at the age of 92. Loving wife to the late Alexander MacIsaac. Beloved mother to David (Catherine) MacIsaac, Debra (Albert) Snow, and the late Dianne MacIsaac. Cherished grandmother and Nan to Barret (Joss) Snow, Renee (Kamaal) Adams, Stephanie (late Matt) Seager, Travis (Stephanie) Snow, Jessica MacIsaac, and Marisa (Jason) Adams-MacIsaac. Proud great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Jessie was born in Inverness, Nova Scotia and moved to Hamilton, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Agatha (nee MacLennan) Rankin. Predeceased by her beloved siblings Joanne (late Angus) MacDonald, Wilma (Ben) MacIsaac, Joe (late Alice) Rankin, Sister Florence Rankin, Peter (late Pat) Rankin, John Rankin, Peggy (late John) Chisholm, and Chris (late Archie) MacMaster. She was a loved sister-in-law to the predeceased Hugh Dan (Alice) MacIsaac, John A (late Catherine) MacIsaac, Angus D MacIsaac, Peter MacIsaac, Norman MacIsaac, Allan (Jenny) MacIsaac, and Allan MacDonald. Survived by her dear brothers Steve (Carole) Rankin and Lawrence (Brenda) Rankin, and sister-in-law Margaret MacDonald. Jessie was the proud aunt of many nephews and nieces and grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Jessie was a generous, kind, and loving soul, who was a pillar of strength and joy to everyone that met her. Jessie always made others around her feel special. To say Jessie will be missed is beyond words, she was deeply loved and supported by her family, friends, and parish community at St. Charles Garnier Parish in Hamilton. Jessie enjoyed spreading kindness and positivity by putting others before herself. She loved to bake bread, cookies, brownies, and her famous 'Pineapple Squares' for others to enjoy. She was an avid card player and loved competing in games of bridge, euchre, cribbage, and bingo. Jessie shed her positive light working over 40 years at St. Joseph's Hospital and was always happy to volunteer at the Good Shepherd Centre and her parish. Throughout the years, Jessie made lasting friendships with many priests, nuns, and parishioners. Our deepest gratitude to Father Saju Oreethaparambil, Anne McInnis, and Donna Marcaccio. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the dedicated and compassionate staff at Heritage Green Nursing Home. Special thanks to Rebecca, Sepaul, Juan, Anita, and Cindy. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, located at 1919 King Street East, Hamilton on Saturday November 5, 2022, from 10:30a.m. to 12:30p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Parish, located at 129 Hughson St. S, Hamilton on Saturday November 5, 2022, at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. The world has lost a brave, strong woman who loved her family. Jessie stood up for what she believed. I have very happy memories from when I was young, falling asleep to the sounds of laughter when Jessie and Alex would come to our house for an evening of cards with my parents. She was so good at cards that she would tell Alex, even when he wasn´t her partner, which card to play from his hand! "Play the ten of hearts Alex. I know you have it!" Alex would start laughing and sure enough he had the card. A beautiful couple hopefully reunited now. Love Lorraine

My. I´m GG worked with your mom at the hospital. Quite often my dad would drive her home when she was on the same shift. She was a beautiful soul. Sorry for your loss
