Joan DAY

DAY, Joan Peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday October 22, 2017 in her 79th year. We said goodbye to our loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert, parents Gertrude and Bert Kindree and sister Beverly. She will be sadly missed by her son Darrell (Anja), Sisters Shirley Timson (Sonny) and Lynne Ward (Frank). Loving grandma to her special granddaughters Christine (Tom) and Nicole (Tyler) and great-grandsons Jake and Isaac. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by her passion for painting, crafting and trips to her favorite place. Many thanks to the Medicine Shoppe in Caledonia for their support over the years and to Nurse practitioner, Lora VanBerlo for her support and also to the many nurses who cared for her in her home in her final days. Family will receive friends in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. followed by the service in the chapel on Thursday, October 26 at 11 a.m. Interment in Caledonia Cemetery.
