It is with heavy hearts the family of Joao Luis Pacheco announces his passing on February 14 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 58 years to Maria De Conceicao. Devoted father to Lourdes (Antonio) and John (Vidalia). Adored grandfather to Stacey.
Loving brother to Manuel (Maria de Carmo) and Lucia (Manuel).
Predeceased by his son Jose Manuel, parents Ermilinda Pacheco and Jose Gincho, and his in-laws Francisco Araujo and Albertina Botelho.
Predeceased by his sister Maria and brothers Jose and Jermias brother-in-laws Jose and Peter, and sister-in-laws Gloria and Constantina.
Joao will be remembered as a proud family man and instilled the importance of family in his children.
He is remembered as a kind, loving, hardworking, generous, humorous, and supportive man to not only his family but to all who knew him.
He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and friends.
Joao took pride in all he did and enjoyed helping others. He loved tending to his garden. He often shared with friends and family the bounty of couves, cucumbers, onions, and garlic.
He willingly delivered malassadas and sweet bread that his loving wife would make for friends and family.
He was a man who led by example and will always be fondly remembered as one who put his family first.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff for the care and compassion given to Joao while at the Hamilton General 4th floor West and CCU South.
Visitation will take place at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL (43 Barton Street East, Hamilton) on Friday February 17, 2023 from 2pm-4pm and
6pm-9pm A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Parish (400 Pottruff Rd N, Hamilton) at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington.
