Joe Griffith Obituary

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of John Joseph Griffith on Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home with family at his side. Joe was 65 years young and was cared for the past six years by the dedicated and loving staff at Mount Nemo Christian Nursing Home. We are forever grateful for the joy and comfort that they brought to Joe's life. Joe was the youngest of six siblings, with many cherished nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sisters Caryl Phillips, Maureen Robinson and brothers Tom (Cathy) Griffith, Ray (Eileen) Griffith. Joe was predeceased by his parents Arthur Lorne and Margaret Loretta Griffith, his oldest sister, Diane Smith and brothers-in-laws, Barry and Rick. Joe loved wrestling, going to shopping malls to meet friends and acquaintances, singing, strumming his guitar, travelling the buses throughout Brampton, writing lists of names, attending services at Christian Horizons, and staying for overnights with his family. He had an excellent memory recalling the dates of birth of all family members. Joe was the heart of our big family. He was an amazing soul who touched everyone with his smile, his good nature and kind heart. You will always be with us Joe! Online condolences can be left at www.smithfh.com A celebration of Joe's life will take place, along with the internment at Woodland Cemetery in London Ontario at a later date.
