Rev Professor Johannis Jacob MOL

MOL, Rev Professor Johannis Jacob (Hans) Passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017, aged 95. Beloved husband of Ruth, and much loved father and grandfather of Ian and Sharon (Alysha and Silvio Benotto) David and Vicki (Oliver, Brigitte and Harrison) Gillian and Jonathan Beaumont (Alex von Treifeldt, James and Sarah) and Margery and George Harpur (Kate, Ben and Chris). This indomitable man, widely respected and admired in academia and the church, taught us about love, laughter and forgiveness, especially in his later years. Touched by his giving spirit, those who knew Hans will recognise a full life well lived. Hans was a retired academic of McMaster University and a long time member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Dundas, Ontario before he and Ruth moved back to his beloved adopted home of Australia. A funeral service will be held at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Canberra, Australia, on December 6, 2017. Tobin Brothers Funerals, Kingston.
