John Batista "Giovanni" GENNARO

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John (Giovanni) Batista Gennaro. He is survived by wife Ingrid, children Susan (Greg) and Julia (Tim) and brother Paul. Cherished by and super fan of his two grandchildren Gillian and Blair; and many nieces and nephews that he adored. John was known for his wicked sense of humour, fierce love of family and zest for life. On summer weekends he could be found on his boat in Bronte Harbour with friends enjoying a glass of red wine. John had a long and thriving career in the car business as a sales and leasing representative proudly working at Leggat Chevrolet, Buick GMC in Burlington for 33 years. As well as, Fairview Nissan, Queenston Chevrolet and John Holland Chevrolet prior. He lived his life to the fullest and will be missed. Until we meet again. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home located at 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Smith's Funeral Home located at 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Wednesday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Carpenter Hospice.
