Chronic labeller, deliberate diner, golf nut and lover of all thing's family.
Bud McClean passed peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, on September 17, 2021
His legacy is in the love he shared for 74 years with his beloved wife Liz as well as his sons: Andy (Dale), Ian and Cam (Kathy). His grandchildren were a great source of pride and joy: Adam (Andrea), Christine, Elise, Spencer, Fraser, and Hanna. The arrival of Great Grandchildren: Chloe and Amelia were a delight to Mom and Dad. He was predeceased by his parents Marjorie (Marmie) and George (Mac) McClean and his brother Bob. Bud was an elite level hockey player on Harold Ballard's Toronto Shamrocks before joining the RCAF to train as a pilot and would have served his country admirably had the war not ended. Always approaching life and work with a curiosity and appetite for challenge, Bud was an Advertising Executive as well as a serial entrepreneur. He made many special friends on his journey and left many great memories for those that knew him. His last years were spent at The Williamsburg, where the staff earned our appreciation. We are also grateful for the care provided to Bud by the various agencies and Joseph Brant Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Joseph Brant Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family will announce a Celebration of Life to occur on another occasion.
