My sincere condolences to the Oblender Family. John was a colleague of mine many years ago at Royal Botanical Gardens where he was our graphic artist. He was a great artist and had many friends at RBG. One of the nicest employees there.

Heaven will have some great graphics on their clouds now that John has picked up his wings! I worked with John, along with Fred, Ernie, Nancy, Shirley and so many others at the RBG in 1987, at what was definitely the best job I ever had! Sincerest condolences to the Oblender family. John was one of the nicest people I ever knew and worked with. God's Band of Angels is now complete, now that John has gone and taken his seat.

I have such wonderful memories of growing up with my dear cousins. John was a very special cousin and friend. He was kind, thoughtful, loving and the kind of family man that everyone loved and looked up to. I will always remember our summer holidays in Midland and the many card games at my Dad's house. He always made me smile.
Bev, Heather, Karen and family, I wish there was something, anything I could do, or say to make this heartbreaking loss a little easier if only for a moment, I would do it in a second. May God bless you and your family at this time of grief. Holding the Oblender family close in my heart and prayers.
