John Pearson Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Peter on July 9, 2022. Just passed his 100th year, he had a long and adventurous life with his wife Irene (pre-deceased) during their 70 year marriage. He trained as a cabinet maker, served in the British army, and they travelled throughout Europe on the motorbike in the early years. They settled in Canada where further adventures took him to the cottage and camping from coast to coast to coast. He was a long time employee at the Hamilton Harbour Commission. He was always busy fixing or building, most famously his 101 stairs to heaven (the cottage) and he always had a nod and a wink for anyone who passed by. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Gillian (Peter Willis). Pre-deceased by his son Jeff (Marlene Morgan).

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, staff and managers at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre L Wing for their love and care of Peter in his final years.

There will be no service and cremation has already taken place. Condolences may be left at www.aftercare.org. If you choose, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre in Peter's memory c/o Sunnybrook Foundation, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M4N 3M5.
