Heaven has welcomed a beautiful Angel. We are completely heartbroken that at the young age of 40, our sweet little Johnny has lost his battle with cancer. Survived by his loving parents, John and Franca who cared for him all his life, sisters and brother-in-laws, Mirella and Lui Cino, Roberta and Angelo Napoleoni and his biggest fans, nephew and nieces Anthony, Julia and Christina. He will also be so fondly missed by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. A heartfelt thank you to Marie and Vinny for their exceptional care at home and to Omar at Catholic Family Services for continually advocating for Johnny. Also, a sincere thank you to Dr. Castelluzzo, M-Line pharmacy and the team at Juravinski Hospital for their empathy and outstanding medical care throughout his fight. Most importantly thank you to the wonderful team at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their kindness and gentle care in making Johnny's final days comfortable. We are forever grateful to you all. Born prematurely, with only one percent chance to live, Johnny had to learn to fight against the odds from the beginning. He was meant to be on this earth because during his time, Johnny touched the hearts of so many around him with his innocence, contagious smile and laughter, and passion for the most simple things in life. He endured so much and fought like a warrior through radiation, chemo and a significant surgery. But unfortunately, the time came when Johnny could not endure anymore and he was called to heaven by God and reunited with his loved ones who have passed before him. We are certain his grandparents, uncles and close friends welcomed him with open arms and will continue to guide him. Johnny's passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts, but his memory and spirit will always be with us. Love you forever Johnny. Visitation will take place at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel (43 Barton Street East, Hamilton) on Wednesday, February 9, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis Xavier Church (304 Hamilton Regional Rd 8, Stoney Creek) on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
