Josephine EYDT Obituary

Josephine Carol Eydt, 71, peacefully passed on February 2nd, 2021 with family by her side. Born to parents Nora Tiernan and Gerald Colquitt in Widnes, England. Affectionately known by all as Carol, she and her family moved to Toronto when she was 18 yrs old. Married to the late Sam Eydt, they lived in Milton and Waterdown for most of their married life. Carol is survived by her three children: Kelly-Jo, of London, Michael of Toronto, and Ryan of Hamilton. She is also survived by her grandson Evan. Carol is also survived by her partner Glenn. Carol is also survived by her stepchildren Sam and wife Donna and Cheryl. Also survived by their respective children. Sister in law to Lil and Pat, and brother in law Jim. Carol is also survived by her sisters, Chris, Tina, and Wendy, along with their respective children, Carols nieces and nephews. Carol was a passionately creative person. Immensely talented in both baking and cooking. She often showed her love through an amazing meal. She was also known as the "Gingerbread Lady", making beautiful gingerbread houses at Christmas. She also had a passion for sewing and could make just about anything. Carol had a huge heart and made everyone she came across feel welcomed. Her generosity and sense of humour will be remembered by those she's left behind. Ceremony will be private due to Covid restrictions but the family will have a Memorial Service in the future when Covid restrictions allow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
