PLESA, Josip It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Josip on September 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 78. Loving husband to Anica for 52 years. Adored father to Frank (Claudine) and Joe (Sonja). Cherished Deda to Evan, Lucas, Joseph and Antonio. Predeceased by his brothers Ivica and Milan. He will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Bozica, nieces Kathy (Jim) and Mary, and extended family and friends in Canada and Croatia. Josip retired from Dofasco after 24 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, sports fan and loved to cook. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Holy Cross Church in Josip's memory. Visitation will be held at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 1774 King Street E. (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, September 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Vigil Prayers to be said at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King St. East on Friday, September 20th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
