Joyce Toering Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joyce on November 5th in Joseph Brant hospital after struggling with Osteoporosis. Cherished mother of Ralph Toering and Teresa Fortney (Lee), and loving grandmother ("Omi") of Andrew, Stephanie, Alex (Lindsay), Susan (Tim) and Erin. Mom was predeceased by her husband Peter and her sisters Magda and Griet in the Netherlands. The family thanks the staff at Joseph Brant hospital, Burlington Gardens and Milestone Health for their loving care and support of Mom. In Joyce's memory, expressions of sympathy can be made to Osteoporosis Canada and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington on Tuesday Nov 9, 2021 from 6 - 9 p.m., and Wednesday Nov, 10, 12 - 1 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday Nov 10 at 1:00 followed by a reception at Smith's Funeral Home. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time. Please RSVP in advance at www.smithsfh.com or by calling 905-632-3333. Livestream of the service for those unable to attend will be available through Smith's tribute page to Joyce.
