It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jozefina Majerczak on January 18th at the age of 91. She passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton with her daughter Katherine by her side. She is now rejoined with her spouse Michal, who predeceased her 30 years ago. She is survived by her three children Ann (Hank predeceased), John (Anna) and Katherine. Loving grandmother of Justin and Jordan Ross, Michele Meyer-Cash and husband Kevin, Catherine Meyer-Frezza and husband Ed, David Meyer and wife Candace. Adoring great grandmother to Abigail, Sam, Alyssa and Adam. Jozefina was predeceased by her parents Katarzyna and Josef Swiety, sister Malgorzata Swieta and brother-in-law Andrzej Swiety, and nephew Jan Swiety. She will be sadly missed by Jean Dub (nee Milaniak) and many family and friends in Canada, Poland and the USA. Special thanks to Shannon for your loving support. Jozefina was born in Niedzica, Poland and immigrated to Canada in 1958. She worked at Beach Road Meats for over 20 years. She will be always remembered for her devoted faith to God, her love of reading, word puzzles, scratching lottery tickets, and her famous cabbage rolls and perogies. We will miss her greatly, but we are comforted knowing that she is at peace and no longer suffering. Due to the current gathering restrictions a private service will be held at the St. Stanislaus Polish Catholic Church, with Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
