Julia-Ruth Doherty

1941 - 2021

Julia passed away peacefully with her family by her side, in Milton, on September 27, 2021 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Bob for 58 years. Devoted mother of Rob (Tammy), Susan, and Elaine (Tony). Cherished Grandma of Meghan, Jessica, Eric, Cooper, Joseph, and Emma, and dear sister of Dorothy-Ann and Ron. Loving daughter of the late Eric and Mildred Carpendale. Julia started out as a Dental Assistant in her hometown of Hamilton and then stayed at home to raise her children until they were grown before returning back to the dental profession and working at many local retail establishments in Milton. She travelled the world and visited more than 50 countries. One of her favourite destinations was Graceland because of her love of Elvis. A special thank you to Julia's Doctors, the nurses and doctors at Milton District Hospital and all her PSW's for their kindness and care. An extra special thank you to her caring sister, Dorothy-Ann for their quality times together. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home 114 Main Street East, Milton 905-878-4452 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Due to Covid 19 restrictions in Halton, attendance is limited. Please book your visitation time slot online in the RSVP section to ensure your attendance. These booked visitation times are strict, so we ask that you show up for entrance at your allotted time. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Milton District Hospital Foundation www.mdhf.ca would be most appreciated. Her strength and loving perseverance were an inspiration to all.
