I had the good fortune to meet Karen in our early teens while on vacation in Turkey Point with parents. We corresponded by letters for many years, continued to vacation together and visit each others home a couple times a year until work and family consumed our time and cards alone kept us in touch. I am grateful for those times we had the opportunity to share our life. Karen was a true blessing in my life. God bless her!

I first met Karen at Women's College Hospital in the NICU. It was my very first position after graduation (1982), and I was a nervous novice nurse. Karen was on my team, and was so kind and welcoming to me- I'll always be grateful for her kindness and caring. We had a great nursing team, and I distinctly remember when she went on that "blind date" and met her future husband! Fast forward 10 + years, and we met again in Burlington with our kids both attending the same schools, where we had the pleasure of reconnecting. Godspeed Karen, and thank you for being a part of such an important time in my life. You will not be forgotten.

It was my pleasure to call Karen my friend. Whether working together in the Ladies Auxiliary or simply enjoying a coffee together she was always a joy to talk to and share stories. I will always remember her smile and laugh, Rest In Peace Karen, the battle is over.
