It is with seemingly endless sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Edward Haslip (aka Bus) in his 92nd year. Karl passed away in his sleep in the early hours on Thursday, July 22nd. Karl is survived by his wife Margaret (June), his three children: Joe (Tracey), Jim (Heidi) and Susan (Victoria), as well as seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his brother, Wayne (Linda). Karl and June recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on July 16th. Karl was born in London, Ontario, but grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, and later moved his family to Burlington. Karl originally worked as a draftsman at Westinghouse, but later worked as a salesman for a variety of companies, before getting into real estate sales where he flourished. He became a perennial centurion award winning salesman and was also a Hall of Fame recipient with Century 21. Karl loved to coach hockey and softball during his children's younger years and loved to spend winters in Florida during his early retirement. He was kind, generous and would be the first in line to volunteer his time whenever someone needed an extra hand. He will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place and a private family service has already been held.
