Katherine VandenBroek Obituary

Passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospice, Hamilton, on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the age of 53. Loving wife of John. Cherished daughter of Matt and Janet. Beloved sister of Judy and Peter. Predeceased by grandparents Ludwik and Katrina. Predeceased by uncle Richard Ordon. As a registered nurse for over 30 years, Kathy brought a professional and loving devotion to her patients. She will be sorely missed. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Friday, April 29th, from 3pm - 5pm, and 7pm - 9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church (287 Plains Road E., Burlington) on Saturday, April 20th, at 10:00 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. A special thanks from family to St. Joseph's Home Care especially Linda Borger and staff at 3E St. Peter's Hospice. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Peter's Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Just heard of Kathy's passing now. So sad. She was an extraordinary nurse in her area of specialty. I worked closely with Kathy on one case for several years and she certainly went above and beyond in the care of her clients. My condolences to her family and friends.
