Kathryn BOGLE (nee McCulloch) Obituary

November 4, 1954 - January 25, 2023.

Kate has finished her six year journey with Alzheimer's. She fought the good fight as they say, but now it's time for her to rest.
Kate will be deeply missed by her husband Harry of more then 44 years; children Ian Bogle (Kristina) and Lauren Bogle (Leopold Wisman); grandchildren Madison, Jackson and Lincoln; and brother Brock McCulloch.
Kate was a junior and senior kindergarten teacher at a local daycare centre for more than 40 years. Also, an avid guitar player and poet and most recently an artist. She loved to go walking and the two of us together loved to go camping and kayaking. Never afraid to get her hands dirty, Kate tended the gardens at our house. And every Saturday during the warm weather, together we'd go trolling at garage sales looking for that particular treasure that we needed to have.
A celebration of Kate's life will be held in the spring. Details to be announced closer to that time.
For those who wish, donations in Kate's honour to VON - Hamilton or the Salvation Army both of which provided day program services for Kate 4 days a week, or the Alzheimer Society - Hamilton, would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333. Please go to www.smithsfh.com to sign the online book of condolences.

My sincerest and deepest sympathies to all the family and all the friends that Kate has left behind. In so many ways, Kate was the best of all of us. Some share of that will remain not only in our memories but in our lives, in all the lives she touched and changed, just by being Kate.

Mrs. Bogle taught all three of my children at Paradise Corners children centre and was a very kind soul. Her name comes up often in conversations when we talk about the good times we had there. May she RIP.

My sincere condolences to Kate´s family and friends. Kate will be missed by many. I was fortunate enough to meet Kate through friends during high school. Kate always made me feel welcome with her pleasant nature and thoughtfulness. I never heard an unkind word from her. I look forward to seeing Kate again in a much better place.

I was lucky enough to grow up across the street from Kate and Brock, in Ancaster. She was a sweet, talented individual, although a few years older than me. I can personally vouch for her guitar skills. The favourite song we had together was "Leaving on a Jet Plane". We both sat on their front porch and sang as she strummed. I lost touch with Kate after she married and started her family, but we would run into them once in awhile, or were blessed enough to be friends with Harry on Facebook, where we saw posts of the family. Rest in peace Kate. Until we meet again.
