Kevin BEATTIE Memoriam
October 8, 1968 - January 14, 2014
NINE
Nine is the highest single digit in our integer system. Numerologists contend that it symbolizes finality and end of one cycle and the start of a new cycle. Gordie Howe wore number 9, and so did Bobby Hull- but that's another story. There are 9 innings in a regulation baseball game and a Novena is 9 days long.
January 14, 2023 marks 9 years since we lost our son, brother, husband, uncle and friend, Kevin Beattie. Tales of "olden" days amongst your friends and relatives, retelling your acts of love, kindness and yes even foolishness, continue to bring a tear to our eyes or a laugh and a smile to our faces. There is a saying that contends that after you're gone, people won't remember what you said, and people won't remember what you did, but people will remember how you made them feel, and you always made everyone you came in contact with, feel important and special. Many of our loved ones have joined you in the past year, including your dear dog, L.T., and we take comfort in the fact that you are the kind heart, the friendly face, and the life of the party, who is there to welcome them.
Is 9 years a long time? Perhaps. Without you, it has been a long 9 years. But it would be impossible for us to ever forget you, whether it's 9 years, or 999 years.
Remembering, missing, and loving you always: Mom, Dad, Kathleen, Ed, Donna, Paul, Cathleen, Eddie, Jeffrey, Angelina, Jack and Amelia, and Loko.
