Many baseball games I played with Laurie cheering us on from the sidelines. His dedicated support transcended all that he encountered through life’s challenges.

I got to take a minuet the other day and experience a view of the stars from where the Geography room was at the old parkside location. It was unique and unexpected....Especially since it was November and I was comfortably wearing shorts at midnight... I had a chuckle about it; I feel like he was right there with me having a little chuckle too.

Mr. Williams was a favourite teacher of mine at Parkside Highschool. Thank you for your steady and positive way of teaching and instilling a love of geography in me and certainly many others. Brent and Becki, we attended Beverly Central and then Seaton together, I am sorry to hear about your dad's passing. My sincere condolences to all.

I am deeply saddened to hear of "Mr. William's" passing. I was a student of his at the beginning of his teaching career at Dundas District High School and his knowledge and skilled instruction inspired me to pursue Geography in university. He was such a kind and caring individual and a role model for those around him. My sincere condolences to Brenda and family.

I am so sorry to hear of Laurie's passing! Although I did not know him well, I have known Brenda, his wife for many years. I remember when my own mother was about to undergo heart surgery. Brenda was very positive and supportive! I remember, as it steadied me at that difficult time. May God bless you and your family, ease your heart and keep you comforted with his love.

Mr.Williams taught me geography for three years at Parkside. He was a gifted teacher. He taught outside the box and has inspired me in my career in education. He was wise and always listened fully. He will be missed.

Mr. Williams, I could never call him Laurie as I had too much respect for him, was one of the major reasons, I myself became a teacher. He just had this way with people that I have always tried to emulate to the best of my abilities. He listened, he understood, he cared, he directed, he supported, he mentored. He allowed you to make mistakes and grow. Do know that Mr. William's impact is deep, far and wide as he was a positive influence on many. My warmest thoughts go out to his family and close friends.

I am so very sorry to hear this. I always liked Laurie and worked with his Aunt so many years ago at McMaster. He was a demon on the tennis court and a devoted family man. He will be missed by all who knew him as a teacher and friend.

My father taught with Laurie at DDHS. "Mr. Williams" was the soul of kindness and empathy. He had such quiet strength. Surely he inspired thousands--by begin a great teacher and by inspiring others to become great teachers. He really stood out. My sincere condolences. He will be greatly missed.
