It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Andrew (née Schleicher), at the age of 80, on September 30, 2022. Born on January 31, 1942 in Zagreb, Croatia, Lilly immigrated to Canada at a young age. She is survived by her close companion Gil Moat of Minden, ON, her three daughters Heidy Razum of Dundas ON, Cindy Razum (Richard) of Owen Sound ON, and Nancy McPhail (Joe) of Dundas ON, and her much loved grandchildren Matthew Razum and Sarah Harnett (Eric), and greatgrandchild Abigail. Lilly was a kindhearted, independent and generous person. She graduated from McMaster University with a B.A. and worked for the Regional Department of Social Services in Hamilton, ON. Lilly loved spending time with her family and friends who were often recipients of her wonderful culinary and baking skills. Her love of nature and animals and simple living was infectious. She was a born minimalist who devoted time to the people and activities most important to her. In her retirement, she enjoyed travelling and spending time up north at the beloved cottage on the lake. She loved reading, photography, strumming the guitar, and had an artistic touch. She will live in the hearts of her loved ones and will be missed. Family and friends are welcome at a come and go Celebration of Lilly's life that will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas, ON L9H 1C4 (additional parking at the Air Force Club). Grateful thanks to all the caring staff at Juravinski/ Henderson Hospital, St. Peter's Residence and Chartwell Deerview Crossing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Society of Hamilton.
