1944 - 2022

It is in heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Lilianne (Lillian) Marguerite Cullen (nee Bourque), at the age of 77 on September 19, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 24, 1944 in Shemogue, New Brunswick to loving parents, the late Harvey and Louise (nee Brine). A proud Acadian, Lillian visited her home in New Brunswick whenever she could. Loving wife to the late Robert Cullen, married in 1966. Beloved mother and best friend of Carol-Ann and Giuseppe Matozzo, Lisa Cullen, Shelley Cullen, Robert (Shelley) Cullen and Todd Richardson. Wonderful Gramma of Kyle Halfkenny, Deidra (Paul) Halfkenny, Chelsea (Dillon) Halfkenny, and Liam Fallis. Pet parent to Duchess and Baby. Dear sister of John and his wife Diane Bourque. Daughter-in-law to the late Bradley and Leona. Sister-in-law to the late Mary Rutledge, Ernest, Michael, Donald, Stanley Cullen, survived by Jane Cullen and Judy (Stanley) Cullen, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by close friends Luella (Albert) Proulx and Elaine Hughes. Lillian was a dedicated nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital from 1966 until her retirement. She enjoyed crafts especially knitting, crocheting, gardening, baking, cooking and she had many other creative talents. Mom was so kind always to everyone and to all who knew her. Bonsoir Maman. Godspeed G-Ma. Rest in eternal peace. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will take place at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas, ON, on October 1, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (additional parking at The Air Force Club). Grateful thanks to all the caring staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Assistance Program Concession Street.
